Kuldeep Yadav’s grand reception at ‘The Centrum’ in Lucknow: 52 dishes to be prepared for 800 guests, from Dhoni-Virat to CM Yogi expected to attend
After marrying his childhood friend Vanshika Singh in Mussoorie on 14 March, Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav is set to host a grand reception in Lucknow on 17 March. The celebration will take place at the luxury hotel The Centrum, where elaborate preparations are already underway.
Both families have now departed from Mussoorie for the event, while hotel staff in Lucknow are busy finalising arrangements for the high-profile gathering.
Sources close to the family and the hotel say the reception is being organised on a scale comparable to a Bollywood or royal wedding, with meticulous planning for the guest list, food menu, and décor.
Over 800 guests expected at the reception
According to sources, arrangements have been made for more than 800 guests to attend the reception. Several prominent figures from cricket are expected to be present, including former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and star players Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
The guest list also includes Jay Shah, chairman of the International Cricket Council.
Several prominent political figures are also expected to attend. Among them are Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath, former Uttar Pradesh chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, Uttar Pradesh Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana, and Kanpur MP Ramesh Awasthi.
Event expenses cross ₹33 lakh
The scale of the reception is reflected in the overall expenditure. Sources say the daily rental for the entire hotel during the event is more than ₹26 lakh.
To transform the venue into a royal setting, nearly ₹7 lakh is being spent on flowers, lighting, and stage decoration alone. When combined with catering, accommodation, and other arrangements, the total cost of the reception exceeds ₹33 lakh.
Lavish ‘Platinum’ dinner package
To ensure top-tier hospitality for guests, the family has opted for the hotel’s most premium catering option, the Platinum Mix Dinner package.
Under this package, each plate costs about ₹5,000 (plus tax). The buffet will feature 52 dishes along with two live cooking stations, offering guests a wide variety of freshly prepared food.
The menu includes eight welcome drinks, a vegetarian biryani, and three premium ice creams. Guests will also be served 200 ml bottled water from premium brands such as Himalayan Natural Mineral Water or Vedica. The entire dining arrangement will be organised in buffet style, allowing guests to enjoy a wide range of cuisines.
