Sarvesh Goel Welcomes Startup-Focused Budget

Sarvesh Goel Says Union Budget 2026–27 Gives Strong Push to Startups in Uttar Pradesh

The Union Budget 2026–27 has brought renewed optimism for startups and small businesses in Uttar Pradesh, with industry leaders welcoming its clear focus on entrepreneurship, manufacturing, and MSME growth. Commenting on the budget, Sarvesh Goel, Chairman of the Mansingh Goel Group, said the proposals are closely aligned with the Prime Minister’s vision of Viksit Bharat and sustainable economic expansion.

Speaking after a budget telecast organised by FICCI–ASSOCHAM UP–UK in Lucknow, Sarvesh Goel noted that the emphasis on startups and small enterprises reflects a well-thought-out policy direction. He highlighted that Uttar Pradesh has already emerged as the second-largest startup ecosystem in the country, with over 40,000 startups currently operational, and the new budgetary measures will further strengthen this momentum.

Sarvesh Goel stated that increased infrastructure spending, targeted schemes for MSMEs, and continued policy support for manufacturing and industry are critical steps toward achieving the state’s long-term economic goals. He also appreciated the government’s efforts to balance growth with responsibility, noting that fiscal discipline has been maintained while still supporting expansion and innovation.

“The vision outlined in the Union Budget 2026–27 aligns closely with the Prime Minister’s roadmap for Viksit Bharat,” Sarvesh Goel said, adding that keeping the fiscal deficit under control while investing in growth sectors sends a strong signal of stability and confidence to businesses and investors.

Industry experts at the event echoed similar views, stating that while the intent of the budget is clearly growth-oriented, its success will depend on timely execution and effective implementation on the ground. Simplification of processes and sustained policy continuity, they said, will be key to translating announcements into measurable outcomes.

Sarvesh Goel expressed confidence that with consistent policy support and streamlined systems, the ambitious goal of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy is achievable. He emphasised that startups and MSMEs will play a central role in job creation, innovation, and inclusive development across the state.
